Welcome!
We appreciate that you've landed on our farm website, thank you.
We started with just two pet baby goats, quickly fell in love with them and had to have more. Our herd currently operates at about 40 goats, but that number is a little misleading as we have dedicated our buck pasture to also be a retirement home for a handful of superior bucks.
Paramount to our mission is to be able to place our kids into the best homes available. For us that means homes that will value them enough to provide necessary veterinary medical care, quality feed, supplements and water, lots of attention and love; and homes dedicated to their success in the showring and on milk test.
We have been an ADGA Performance Plus herd since 2014. We participate in all of the ADGA performance programs and have been a linear appraisal host herd since 2015. I am a DHIA West certified dairy goat tester and am happy to travel within 300 miles to conduct verification tests for other herds.
We dam raise our kids. We can't do a better job feeding a baby goat than his or her mother. Dam raising has not hurt milk test or linear appraisal. We have does that can milk over 1200 lbs in less than 300 days, dam raising. Experience has shown us that our dam raised kids have greater self confidence and independence, are less socially awkward and they mature faster.
The more we learn, the harder we work to improve the quality of our breeding program. We make a few animals available throughout the year, and we have wethers available each spring for loving pet homes. Every year we have an essay contest open to 4H/FFA kids to make our animals available to hard working kids and future farmers. We welcome inquiries via phone and email, are happy to work with you to get to know you, your herd, and management style. We really like for our kids to go to people we know and trust.
To ensure the safety of our animals we practice strict bio-security policies. We maintain a closed herd. We test every year for CL, CAE, Johnes, and Brucellosis. Our results have always been negative, thus far, and our latest tests were conducted in May 2020. We do NOT offer buck service, but we are happy to work with you to have a doe you purchase from us bred before she leaves.
We do NOT sell goats for meat. You must have proper fencing, shelter, and shade. No goats shall be kept tethered. No goat will be sold to live as a single goat. Goats are herd animals and need the companionship of other goats.
We have BIG PLANS for the future including videos and literature designed to help new breeders and homesteaders get a strong start.
Stay tuned and check back here often as I update and add new functionality to this website in the coming months.

LATEST NEWS & CURRENT EVENTS
------------------------------------------------
April 1, 2021- We are excited to announce that we have relocated from our ranch in the Sierra Nevada foothills to South Dakota and we are looking forward to many new opportunities and challenges in the Midwest. We will no longer be subject to wildfires and rattlesnakes for half of the year. We just have to adapt to -20 degree sinters and non-stop wind 24/7. LOL
December 28, 2020- We sold the ranch! This is a BIG change, but this latest fire season was a little too scary. We are looking for a new home, in an area safe from the hazards we have faced here in Three Rivers.
